ICERDA
ICERDA (International Conference on Education Research for Development in Africa) was originally instituted in 2015 by Professor Kwame Akyeampong and the University of Sussex. The conference began as a response to the need for an independent forum where African voices and scholars, can share evidence based insights with the intent of shaping policy reforms and decision making towards the development of Africa.
Now helmed by Akyeampong Research and Development Consult, the ICERDA conference brings together African scholars and those from the global north who work with them to share the latest research on education and development in Africa. The conference highlights the best minds on education in Africa and those with a proven track record of researching development issues in Africa to present thought-provoking papers and seminars. We host the ICERDA conference in partnership with universities across the African continent. Our 2020 conference will be hosted by the University of Cape Coast, Ghana.
